⏳ Time
“The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough.”

Sometimes we get so caught up counting days and deadlines that we forget to actually live in them. This little reminder says it all — enough time isn't about quantity, it's about how deeply you experience each moment.

Have you ever felt like you are racing against a clock that never stops ticking? We often spend our lives measuring progress by months, years, or even decades, worrying about how much time has passed or how much we have left to achieve. But Rabindranath Tagore reminds us of a beautiful, different way to exist. When he speaks of the butterfly, he is inviting us to shift our focus from the grand, intimidating scale of time to the tiny, precious fragments that actually make up a life. A butterfly does not worry about how long its season will be; it simply pours its entire being into the nectar of the present moment.

In our modern world, it is so easy to get lost in the 'next.' We are constantly planning for next week, next month, or next year, often at the expense of what is happening right now. We treat time like a resource to be managed or a deadline to be met, rather than a canvas to be painted. When we live only for the milestones, we accidentally skip over the beautiful scenery along the way. We become so preoccupied with the destination that the journey itself becomes nothing more than a blur of tasks and obligations.

I remember a time when I was feeling particularly overwhelmed by my own to-do list. I was staring at a calendar, feeling the heavy weight of all the months ahead of me, wondering if I would ever feel like I had accomplished enough. One afternoon, I sat by a garden pond and watched a single butterfly flutter around a bright yellow flower. It wasn't rushing. It wasn't checking a watch. It was completely absorbed in that one single second of sipping nectar. In that quiet moment, I realized that my anxiety was coming from trying to live in a future that hadn't happened yet, instead of honoring the beauty of the afternoon I was actually inhabiting.

We can all learn to adopt this butterfly mindset. It doesn't mean we stop planning or growing, but it means we stop letting the scale of time diminish our joy. It means recognizing that a single moment of laughter, a warm cup of tea, or a deep breath can be just as significant as a major life achievement. These small moments are the true building blocks of a meaningful existence.

Today, I want to encourage you to stop counting the days and start noticing the moments. Take a tiny pause in your busy schedule. Look around you and find one small thing that feels beautiful or peaceful. Let yourself exist in that one moment, without worrying about what comes next. You have enough time, as long as you are truly present to experience it.
