In our daily lives, it is so easy to fall into the habit of waiting for the perfect circumstances before we allow ourselves to be happy. We tell ourselves we will smile once the chores are done, once the bills are paid, or once we finally get that promotion. But life is often messy and unpredictable. If we only rely on external joys to fuel our smiles, we might find ourselves stuck in a cycle of waiting. You are telling your soul that peace is possible right now, exactly as you are. It is a way of reclaiming your power from the circumstances that try to dim your light.

Today, I want to encourage you to try a little experiment. If you find yourself in a heavy moment, don't wait for the heavy feeling to leave before you act. Try offering a small, gentle smile to yourself in the mirror or to a stranger in the grocery store. See if you can use that tiny movement to invite a little bit of warmth back into your spirit.
