✨ Positive
When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

It's so natural to grieve what didn't work out, but don't stare at that closed door forever. Turn around — something new is quietly waiting for you to notice it.

Have you ever felt like the world just went quiet after a big disappointment? Helen Keller, a woman who understood more about resilience than most, beautifully reminds us that while we tend to fixate on the loss, new opportunities are often waiting just out of our line of sight. It is so human to grieve a closed door. We mourn the plans we made, the people we thought would stay, or the versions of ourselves that no longer exist. That heavy, lingering gaze on what is gone can act like a blindfold, preventing us from noticing the sunlight streaming through a new entrance.

I see this happen so often in the little rhythms of daily life. Think about that moment when a project you poured your heart into is suddenly cancelled, or a friendship drifts away without much warning. It feels like a heavy weight in your chest, doesn't it? You might find yourself retracing your steps, wondering where things went wrong, or staring at the empty space where that happiness used to live. In those moments, it is easy to believe that the happiness has simply vanished from your life altogether, leaving you in a hallway of nothing but locked doors.

I remember a time when I felt quite stuck myself, feeling as though every path I tried to take was blocked by a heavy barrier. I spent weeks mourning a missed opportunity, convinced that my season of success had ended. I was so busy staring at that one closed door that I didn't notice a tiny, unexpected invitation to join a new community of creators. It wasn't until I finally forced myself to turn my head that I realized a whole new world of connection had been waiting for me to simply acknowledge it. It took courage to stop looking backward and start looking sideways.

It is okay to sit with your sadness for a little while, but please try not to set up camp in front of that closed door. The grief will eventually pass, and when it does, I hope you have the strength to lift your eyes. There is a new door, perhaps even more beautiful than the last one, waiting for your arrival. Today, I want to encourage you to take just one small step away from your regrets. Take a deep breath, turn your gaze toward the unknown, and see if you can spot even the smallest glimmer of a new beginning waiting just for you.
