🎯 Purpose
“Without work, all life goes rotten, but when work is soulless, life stifles and dies.”

We need work that feeds our spirit, not just our bank account. If what you're doing feels hollow, it's okay to search for something that actually matters to you.

Sometimes, the weight of our daily tasks can feel like a heavy fog rolling in over a quiet pond. We all know that sense of stagnation that comes when we stop moving, when the days blend together without any real effort or engagement. Albert Camus captures this beautifully by reminding us that without work, life begins to rot. There is a certain vitality that comes from exertion, from the simple act of tending to our gardens, our careers, or our families. Effort gives us a sense of rhythm and prevents the stagnation that makes us feel stuck in place.

But there is a much deeper danger hidden in the shadows of productivity, and that is the danger of work that has lost its heart. When we spend our hours merely checking boxes or performing motions that hold no meaning for us, we aren't really living; we are just surviving. This is what Camus means when he says that soulless work stifles and kills the spirit. It is the difference between building a home and simply stacking bricks. One nourishes the soul, while the other leaves us feeling hollow and exhausted, even if we have accomplished so much on paper.

I remember a time when I felt quite lost in my own little routine. I was busy every single day, rushing from one task to the next, making sure every little detail was perfect. On the outside, I looked incredibly productive, but on the inside, I felt like a tiny, wilting sprout. I was working hard, but the work had no connection to my joy or my values. I was going through the motions, and my passion was slowly fading away. It took me a long time to realize that I wasn't just tired; I was starving for purpose.

It was only when I started intentionally weaving small pieces of what I love into my daily responsibilities that the light began to return. I started looking for the 'why' behind the 'what.' I realized that even the smallest task can be infused with soul if we approach it with intention and care. It is about finding that sweet spot where our effort meets our essence, creating a life that is both active and deeply meaningful.

As you move through your week, I want to invite you to take a gentle look at your hands and your heart. Are you merely moving bricks, or are you building something that breathes? If you feel that heaviness of soullessness, don't be afraid to pause and ask yourself what might bring the spark back. You deserve a life that feels as vibrant and alive as a sunny morning.
